This is something many female entrepreneurs struggle with. Perhaps you feel you need to convince people to work with you, which typically leads to you spending all your energy on the wrong people. Or maybe you’re feeling like there aren’t enough clients out there for you to serve and you don’t want to miss any opportunity to bring in business.
Marketing doesn’t have to be this hard.
During this episode, I share 6 ways you can land clients without convincing them to work with you.
Understand who that dream client is.
I talk about this ALL the time, but if you don’t know who your dream client is…things will fall flat. You have to think about who would benefit from working with you and how you can provide results. Who is at the stage to work with you? Who has the greatest sense of urgency to solve their problems? Typically, this is normally someone who has been struggling for a long time, but they have to figure out on their own if they are ready to invest in you. You can’t make that decision for them.
Making sure your messaging targets who you want to work with.
You want to make sure your messaging is speaking to how you can provide a solution, sense of urgency, and painting the picture of what their business could look like for the future. You need to make sure your messaging addresses objections. Talk about the top 3 objections in your messaging because those who are having those objections will be more likely to work with you if you address them.
Operate from a place of abundance, not scarcity.
If you believe 100% that there’s dream clients out there to work with then that’s the energy you’ll be putting out into your audience. Having the mindset of abundance means you know if someone is not the right person, you accept it, and know the right person will come without convincing them to work with you. So instead of putting pressure on yourself and creating excuses why you can’t find dream clients, change your mindset. Scarcity attracts scarcity. This typically leads to you working with people you shouldn’t be working with.
Show up consistently and grow your audience.
You’re in the driver seat. Take control. If you take the time to nurture your relationships, show up consistently, and own your audience leads to not having to convince people to work with you because you have done the work. You know there’s dream clients within your audience and look forward to who wants to work with you. That shows your confidence in yourself and what you can offer.
Recognize that the right people will sign on.
There’s people who have told me “no” and I would be bummed out about it. However, I realized they just weren’t ready and it opened a spot to a person who was ready to take action. The right people will see the value of what you bring to the table and be drawn to you. The wrong people are always questioning you and your value…let them go.
Own your value.
This is something you have to do internally for yourself. If you understand the transformation you can provide clients then you will never need to convince someone to work with you. Do you have the perceptive that someone would be so lucky to work with you? Or do you just pray someone will just pay for your services? If you can be confident in your value, you won’t feel salesy, you won’t be fearful of talking about prices, and share your expertise!
