1. Free up your calendar and block off time for clients you want to serve
I have worked with a lot of women who are scaling their business and are struggling to keep up with their schedule. I myself have faced this.
Here’s my best tip: don’t let your schedule run you. You have to take control of your time. If you feel like you don’t have enough time to serve clients, then you are not going to want to take on more clients.
One of the best tricks that you can do right now is to go back to your calendar and ask yourself: Does what’s on my calendar reflect my goals? Then I want you to block off extra time on your calendar for the number of new clients you want to take on. This powerful practice will actually make you feel ready and excited to take on new clients!
2. Celebrate clients before they arrive
To get the excitement up before I launch a program or service, I take a sticky note and draw lines that correspond to the number of open spots I have. That way I’m celebrating these women before they’ve even signed on with me! I also love the feeling of adding a new name to an open slot.

3. Describe who your ideal client is in your messaging
You have to describe in detail who your ideal client is, because if you don’t, you are going to attract a lot of people who might not be a good fit for you. Specify who your ideal client is and talk to them directly in your messaging. That level of detail is what brings people to you instead of the other way around.
4. Say NO to the wrong fit clients
Are you trying to sell anyone and everyone into your program or service? When you say no to someone who is not the right fit, you feel empowered and in control of your business. It makes you show up confidently with zero desperation. Time is valuable so don’t be afraid to say no. Saying no frees up space for your dream clients.
5. Know what happens after you sign a client
At a high level, know exactly what will happen after a client says yes to working with you. You might resist taking on a client if you’re unsure what happens after, so you must have a clear process for onboarding them and how you will start to work with them. Outline the 5 steps that happen after a client says yes because this will help you be ready and be excited to receive them – and more importantly – eliminate your fear of success.
Each of these tricks will lead you to the right frame of mind and perspective to take on new clients. Remember, confidence plus clarity equals clients.
